How to play the game
Objective:
The first player to complete four in a row, wins. As players plot their course to victory, they must counter any progression created by their challenger.
The Rules:
- PlayFours™ is a 2-player game.
- There are two sets of disks, with each set containing 32 playing pieces.
- Each player chooses a team colour. As tradition the white piece goes first, however players may mutually agree to who starts.
- Each turn players are allowed to place one disk anywhere on the board.
- Disks can be placed on top of each other up to a maximum height of four disks per stack.
- If a player completes a row of four in their team colour but it goes unnoticed the game may proceed until acted upon. However, If the opponent is able to complete the objective and declare it, the victory is forfeited to them.
- If interrupted, players are advised but not forced to declare their last move.
How to Win:
Players can complete the objective in the following ways;
1. Four in a row – diagonal, or across, in any direction and on any level.
2. Four of the same colour stacked vertically and directly on top of each other on any point on the board.
3. Four steps up – an angled row running diagonally or across the board in any direction.
